Distant moos, quizzical looks and bouts of raucous laughter - Stacey Corless got it all as she donned a cow onesie and set off on a fundraising mission yesterday.

With her tail flicking behind her and a donation tin rattling in her hands, Mrs Corless was hard to miss as she roamed the streets in support of RSPCA WA's Onesie Wednesday initiative.

After dropping her children off at school and her dogs at the groomers, Mrs Corless proceeded to strut her stuff along Hannan Street, popping into a few businesses along the way to raise money for neglected and abused animals.

Her day also included visiting her grandmother at the nursing home and picking up her unsuspecting parents from the airport, entertaining many members of the public as she went.

Speaking to the Kalgoorlie Miner about halfway through her 16-hour fundraising mission, Mrs Corless said she was staying positive and was determined to reach her $2000 goal.

"The tin is getting pretty heavy at the moment and that is just from the morning," she said.

"I've got a couple of bags I can fill as well so … maybe all the puppies that need help might be wearing diamond collars after this, who knows?"

While on-the-ground fundraising came to an end yesterday, the online page will remain open for six months.
