Four-hour delay at Albany airport

Virgin Australia passengers experienced a four hour delay at Albany Airport today.

The flight was scheduled to leave Albany at 7.55am.

A Virgin Australia spokesman confirmed the aircraft’s cockpit indicator light signalled an engineering issue, causing the aircraft to be grounded longer than expected.

While the spokesman was unable to confirm the problem, engineers have travelled to Albany from Perth as per Virgin Australia’s standard operating procedure.

Currently the flight is expected to depart Albany at 12.05pm and arrive in Perth on 1.15pm.

All other flights between Perth and Albany today are so far unaffected.
