Weapons, drugs found after BMW abandoned
The driver of a BMW was arrested in Millbridge overnight after he allegedly failed to stop for police.
Australind police officers were given approval to pursue the BMW after they attempted to pull the car over for erratic driving near Hamilton Road.
Before a pursuit could take place the driver allegedly abandoned the car on Eaton Drive near Gascoyne Circle.
The driver and a passenger ran from the car.
Police arrested a 34-year-old Australind man believed to be the driver.
He was charged with reckless driving, driving without a licence, possession of cannabis and amphetamines with intention to sell and supply and possession of a weapon.
He was released on bail and will appear in court later this month.
