At least one person has died after a horror crash between a sewage truck and up to four cars.

Emergency services are working to rescue trapped drivers after the incident at the intersection of Glen Osmond Road and Cross Road.

Three other people have reportedly suffered critical injuries.

It is reported that the septic truck lost control travelling towards the city.
