Barack Obama fist bumps Texas restaurant employee over gay joke
While on a visit to the city of Austin, Texas, US President Barack Obama stopped off at the famous Franklin Barbecue where he was served from behind the counter by employee Daniel Webb.
As the world’s most powerful man approached the counter, Webb reportedly yelled: “Equal rights for gay people!”.
Obama, as the Austin Chronicle reports, then asked Webb: “Are you gay?”
To which Webb replied: “Only when I have sex”.
After chuckling over the joke the President reached out for an awkward fist bump which was snapped by photographers.
Later Obama was reportedly accosted by a local Occupy movement protester - before picking $300 of dinner tabs on his credit card.
