Woman seriously injured after run over by 4WD while sleeping on beach
A woman has been left with serious injuries after she was run over by a four-wheel drive while sleeping at a campsite in Western Australia.
Police said the 39-year-old Broome woman was sleeping in a swag on Cable Beach in Broome when she was hit by a Toyota Landcruiser at about 3am on Sunda.
The woman had been camping on the beach with friends.
She was taken to Broome Hospital and later flown to Perth for medical treatment.
A 56-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.
