Sydney woman arrested despite telling police 'you can't it's my birthday'

People often go to great lengths to conceal their age, even if it means getting arrested.

One Sydney woman’s birthday celebrations took a rather unfortunate turn when she ended up in handcuffs outside Central station for refusing to provide a police officer her ID.

In vision captured outside the train station, Sergeant Tyler can be heard asking on more than one occasion “are you going to give me some ID or not?”

However the birthday celebrant had a simpler solution, tell them it’s her birthday over and over again.

“Straight up, it’s my f*****g birthday, I haven’t done anything f*****g wrong, you can't it’s my birthday.”

Nearby drunken revelers joined in the chorus, reminding police officers, in case they forgot, that the woman in question was in fact celebrating her birthday”.

“It’s her birthday, what are you doing?” one woman pleaded.

With her wrists handcuffed behind her back, the woman demanded a police officer give her handbag back.

Raw footage was shared on the New South Wales authority exposed Facebook page. Seven News Online contacted New South Wales police regarding the matter.
