Gable Tostee answers questions in bizarre Facebook chat after balcony death plunge acquittal

Gable Tostee didn’t take the stand during his murder trial, but on Monday night the 30-year-old began answering questions from the public on Facebook.

In October, Tostee made international headlines when he was cleared of the murder and manslaughter of his Tinder date Warriena Wright.

Tostee, who now goes under the name Eric Thomas, joined a Facebook group set up to discuss his case.

He responded in what many are calling a disrespectful manner to detailed questions about Warriena Wright's death.

"Did your mummy drop you on your head as a baby?", asked one woman.

"No but I suffer brain damage every time I read a dumb comment", Mr Thomas replied.

Another Facebook user asked: “Do you still have a balcony?”

It has since been reported that he moved to New Zealand with his new girlfriend to "begin a new life".

His girlfriend, Lizzi Evans, also joined the Facebook discussion.

"I am human as are we all and I can be impulsive and quick to jump to the defense of those I care about who can't have a voice either because it upsets me," she said.

Tostee believed to be in New Zealand on one-way ticket.

While at first Mr Thomas was criticised for “picking and choosing questions”, he did respond to some questions in a serious way.

Mr Thomas was also asked about a perceived as a lack of remorse, an accusation he rejected.

"Completely false. I assume you never read my open letter from 2014? Or any of my public posts on Facebook? Or the fact that my lawyers prevented me from reaching out?" he wrote.

"You also need to remember that not everything I do or say is in the context of Warriena's death, which let's not forget I was fully acquitted of."

He has so far revealed he had brain freeze “the whole way through” the case, leading him into competitive eating by drinking a giant milkshake at a Gold Coast eatery soon after his acquittal last month.
