Qantas pilot proves love is in the air
A Qantas pilot has taken the saying love is in the air to new heights, by proposing to his girlfriend mid-flight.
Captain Dooley Ellis, who was flying more than 500 passengers from Melbourne to Los Angeles last weekend, made the very public proposal through the A380's announcement system.
"We have a very special passenger on board today folks - her name is Anna," he said.
"She's travelling back to South America now to visit her family and I want to make sure she comes back to me in Australia.
"So now that I have her full attention ... quieres casarte conmigo? Will you marry me?"
Captain Ellis then appears in the business class cabin where Anna is seated, while carrying flowers.
The blushing Anna then says yes.
The video, shared on Qantas social media, has already been viewed almost 100,000 times.
