Teen dies after allegedly stabbed multiple times on Gold Coast

A teenager has died on the Gold Coast overnight after he was stabbed multiple times.

The young man and his friends had arranged to meet someone at the Sorrento Shopping Village.

However the night ended in tragedy when the 16-year-old was forced to go from door-to-door knocking, seeking medical assistance and help from strangers.

Emergency services were called to Allawah St, Bundall around 10.20pm to treat the 16-year-old for stab wounds.

Gold Coast Bulletin reports attempts by paramedics to revive the teen were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

Detectives are treating the death as suspicious, with a crime scene declared at the house.

Scientific and Scenes of Crime officers were at the scene this morning.

Detectives are speaking to a number of people, including those who were at the residence when police arrived.

A police Investigation Centre has been established at Burleigh Heads Police Station.

Police are continuing to search for the missing weapon.

The teen has only started his studies at a new school earlier in the year.
