Gold Coast cops raid bikie property

More than $10,000 worth of alleged stolen property has been seized from a Gold Coast home linked to the Black Uhlans criminal motorcycle gang.

An alleged gang member, 26, was arrested and charged with theft, wilful damage, and possession of explosives and a drug utensil.

Officers from Task Force Maxima raided the Southport address last Thursday and seized a motorcycle, compressor and vehicle trailer.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith says the variety of crimes committed demonstrate the importance of targeting criminal gangs.

"They are opportunistic, taking advantage of any situation to further their criminal activities, often at the expense of everyday Queenslanders," he said.

The man is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
