Russia introduces killer robot capable of killing people 6km away

A Vladimir Putin-Donald Trump alliance raised concerns around the world this week, so Russia introducing a killer robot that can shoot people dead from six kilometers away probably won’t ease those fears anytime soon.

The device is said to be employed at Russian borders and can be used to detect low-flying drones, vehicles, even your average pedestrians.

"In its structure there is a radar unit that detects a target: human - to about 7km distance, the car - up to 10km,” Chief project engineer Dmitry Perminoc said in a statement.

The 'flight robot' can detect and shoot a person more than six kilometres away in an instant.

"After detection, the target is in engaged using an optical system."

The terrifying device will predominantly be used to monitor the location of drones, find information about their origin and track their movements before sending all the information to an operating base.

"We already had a real case during the system test. At some point [the robot] recorded the theft of electric cables.

"It filmed a video where a man was seen sawing a wire. A team was sent out and he was caught red-handed."

He added that the "flight robot" had already drawn significant interest for purposes other than military defence.

"Interest in it is not only the military, but also in oil to control the pipeline and stop tapping and the theft of oil,” Mr Perminoc added.

Last month Russia introduced the Satan II, a nuclear missile powerful enough destroy Britain twice over.

Covering more than 7km/second with an expected range of 10,000 kilometres, the super nuke is currently undergoing trials near Miass.

This would allow Moscow to attack European cities as well as reaching the east and west coasts of the US. The Sarmat has also been designed to outfox anti-missile shield systems.

Kremlin engineers have released the first image of the bomb that is capable of destroying an area the size of France.

The missile is expected to be rolled out in 2018 as part of an overhaul of Russia's already terrifying weapons arsenal. Size=O
