Police charge seventh person over 'bodies in a box' murder

Queensland police have charged a seventh person with murder in the bodies-in-a-box killings.

A 25-year-old Kingston man has been charged with murdering Cory Breton, 28, and Iuliana Triscaru, 31, police said Wednesday.

The pair, from Logan south of Brisbane, were last seen alive on January 24.

A submerged metal toolbox containing two bodies was recovered from a Kingston dam last week, with the remains almost certainly those of Breton and Triscaru.

It's alleged the pair were assaulted and bound at a Kingston unit in relation to a drug debt before being taken to the dam and shot in the head and then the box thrown into the water.

Holes were reportedly drilled into the toolbox to help it sink.

Police had been searching for the 25-year-old man in the belief he held information that was vital to the investigation.

He is to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.

The six other accused, five men and a woman, all faced a Brisbane court last week and have been remanded in custody.

They'll face court again next month.
