Chopper vision of dramatic WA police chase

Vision released from a police helicopter shows an allegedly stolen vehicle driving on the wrong side of the highway and only narrowly missing other road users during a high speed chase.

WA Police brought in the helicopter to follow the vehicle which was allegedly stolen from Dayton earlier that morning.

The car is seen in the video (above) driving on the wrong side of the Tonkin Highway and narrowly missing oncoming vehicles while making a turn at traffic lights.

At another point in the video, the vehicle turns right at an intersection and spins out of control with smoke pouring from the wheels, only for it to continue in the opposite direction seconds later.

The drama began five hours earlier when the car was allegedly stolen from a park in Dayton before officers later spotted it and gave chase, but attempts to stop the vehicle failed.

It only came to an end when the vehicle became stuck in traffic at a set of lights and police swooped.

Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested and have been charged with a range of offences.
