AC/DC ready for pre-orders on new album

Australian rock band AC/DC has opened pre-orders on its website for its new album, Rock Or Bust, offering fans the chance to get an instant download of the single Play Ball.

The band's first studio album in six years, which will be released on December 2, was recorded last spring in Vancouver, Canada, and features 11 tracks.

Once again the band has worked with producer Brendan O'Brien and mixer Mike Fraser.

The album follows Black Ice (2008) - number 1 in 31 countries, with eight million copies sold worldwide - the original soundtrack of Iron Man 2 (2010) and the live DVD Live At The River Plate (2012).

AC/DC also disclosed on Tuesday the cover that will accompany the vinyl and CD versions of the album, a tridimensional image in which the band's logo explodes in all directions.

The new work comes after it has been confirmed guitarist, co-founder and lyricist Malcolm Young is now in a Sydney nursing home after being diagnosed with dementia.

Considered one of the best rock groups of all times, the band has sold more than 200 million records worldwide over the past 40 years.
