Man attaches iPod to arm

A professional piercer has taken his penchant for body art one step further.

Twenty-one-year-old Dave Hurban, who works in a tatoo parlour in Newfield, New Jersey, wanted to attach his iPod nano to his wrist, Reuters reports.

He mapped out the four corners of the device and inserted magnetic studs under his skin.

Once his skin had healed, Hurban could clip his iPod to his wrist magnetically.

"I just invented the strapless watch," he told Reuters on Monday of his Apple gadget, set to display a clock.

He said it was simpler than most people thought, and rexplained the procedure on a YouTube clip which has nearly had one million hits.

Hurban's other piercings include two on his lip and one on each ear.

He said the unique idea was a hit at a tattoo convention in Baltimore last weekend.

"I must have talked to like 400 people individually,' he said.

"Every person I showed, they were like so amazed."
