Birthday girl orders pizzas and 'cute delivery boy'
When a young Californian girl ordered a pizza for her birthday party, she topped it off with an unusual request.
Pizza my Heart, a popular Californian restaurant chain, received an order for two of its signature pizzas and a 'cute delivery boy'.
Included in the digital order was another bizarre instruction, 'the delivery boy must tell me I'm pretty'.
The chain obliged and sent one of their most eligible couriers to the customer's home.
The pizza delivery boy told the Daily Mirror: "I've had orders like that before so I was expecting a group of college girls."
When the unsuspecting delivery boy arrived at the customer's home, he got a surprise - the scene was not as he expected.
"When I arrived there was no group, just one girl," he told Fox News. "The delivery site was decorated with balloons and other birthday gear."
But one noticeable element was missing - the guests.
The girl explained she had thrown a birthday party for herself, and no one had turned up.
She invited the delivery boy in for a slice of cake, and he hesitantly accepted, but ended up spending almost an hour enjoying her company.
"We laughed and talked the whole time, as I was leaving I gave her a hug and told her she was pretty," he said.
He arrived back at work to find a written warning from his manager about the time he had taken to deliver the pizza, but he says a ticking off was well worth it.
