Woolworths has slashed prices across a huge range of products including meat, Christmas treats and cookware.
The announcement comes just in time for Christmas as Covid restrictions in some locked down states begin to ease and customers start preparing their festive feasts.
“It’s been another challenging year, so to help customers continue to get great value right through Christmas, we’re pleased to drop the prices of more than 200 products in-store and online,” Woolworths’ General Manager Everyday Needs James Hepworth said in a statement.
What's reduced?
The aim of the price cuts is to help customers save in the months leading up to Christmas, so shoppers will find what they need most at this time of year reduced.
This includes meat ideal for entertaining including Woolworths Porchetta Roast, down to $18 from $22 and traditional Christmas treats like Woolworths 6pk Fruit Mince Pies reduced to $3.80 from $4.
Shoppers will also see big savings across Lindt chocolate pouches, Arnotts Biscuits, and Macro baking ingredients.
“Christmas is about sharing time with loved ones, enjoying great food, and celebrating. Whether it’s a CovidSafe picnic in the park or a long overdue family reunion, we know many customers show they care for loved ones by sharing food,” Mr Hepworth continued.
“The price drops cover a range of food and groceries ideal for entertaining in warmer weather.
“Many customers start planning their Christmas shop months in advance, so this gives them plenty of time to save on their spring picnics, Christmas feasts and News Years’ Eve celebrations.”
