Woolworths releases full list of Disney Ooshies
A full list of Woolworths’ latest collection of Ooshies has been revealed days ahead of when the line launches across Australia except in Victoria.
Thirty-six fan favourite characters across the Marvel, Star Wars, Disney and Pixar universes will feature in the new collection, which is set to enter circulation on Wednesday.
Customers will be able to get their hands on figurines in the form of Darth Vader, Elsa, Buzz Lightyear, Thor, Ariel, Yoda, Black Panther and Moana among others, Woolworths said on Sunday.
The Ooshies will come in silver, gold, colour changing, glow in the dark and glitter editions.
Customers will be able to claim their Ooshie when they spend $30 or more in store, with the launch delayed in Victoria due to the state’s coronavirus crisis.
“We know many Aussie families have had a challenging year, so we're partnering with Disney to give our customers something exciting to look forward to from their everyday shop,” Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Hicks said.
“Whether it's Woody, a hologram Princess Leia, or a glow in the dark Yoda, we’re confident the collection is something the entire family can enjoy and collect together.”
The newest launch comes off the back of criticism from customers unimpressed at the environmental consequences of the plastic waste, with some even threatening to boycott the supermarket.
There was similar backlash last year after Woolworths released its popular Lion King Ooshie collection.

Recycling bins for Ooshies
To combat such concerns, the retailer will this year provide TerraCycle bins for customers to dispose both wrappers and unwanted Ooshies to be recycled.
Two bins will be available in all Woolworths stores nationally for the Ooshies and wrappers to be recycled, as opposed to last year when they were collected by staff at the service desk.
Customers can drop any pre-loved Ooshies, including last year’s Lion King Ooshies, and wrapper to be recycled until January 31. The paper wrapper can also be recycled at home in the yellow bin.
Woolworths has delayed the launch of Disney+ Ooshies in Victoria until lockdown restrictions ease to focus on store operations, and safety of team members and customers.
To keep Victorian fans entertained until then, Disney+ is offering eligible Everyday Rewards members in Victoria a 14-day free trial of Disney+, offering access to thousands of hours of films and series.

“With a vast library of content from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic, we’re confident there’s something for everyone to enjoy and watch, until the Disney+ Ooshies collection hits Victorian stores.”
