Woman spotted smoking 'meth pipe' behind the wheel
A Perth driver has been photographed smoking from what appears to be a glass meth pipe after another motorist noticed her swerving across the road.
Witnesses say they saw the driver using a bright green lighter to heat the bottom of the pipe as she made her way down Kwinana Freeway, heading south near Thomas Road, on Saturday afternoon.
One witness said he was so shocked by what he had seen, he asked his wife to take a photograph of her and her number plate.
Police said they were now using the images to try and track down the driver.
Both sides of West Australian politics condemned the stunt.
“That’s one of the most insane things I’ve ever seen,” Premier Mark McGowan told 7 News after seeing the photo.
“Stupid crazy stuff. I look forward to police tracking her down and charging her.”
Shadow police minister Peter Katsambanis was also left in disbelief.
“These people are crazy,” he said.
“They need to stop this sort of behaviour.”
