Woman in serious but stable condition

After getting the call, Queensland Paramedics rushed to the scene, treating the patient for head, facial and shoulder injuries, with a helicopter being deployed to assist with the rescue.

"When arriving, there was no ability to reach her so the helicopter had to winch her out," a QLD Ambulance spokeswoman told Yahoo News Australia.

Police officers and members of the public can be seen watching on from the Noosa National Park pathway as the helicopter takes the woman away in "serious but stable condition," to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The woman was delivered to the hospital at around 11am. It is yet to be determined how she fell five metres down the cliff.
