Wolf Creek actor John Jarratt charged over alleged sexual assault
Australian actor John Jarratt has been charged over an alleged sexual assault more than 40 years ago.
Police allege the assault took place in Randwick, in Sydney’s east, in September 1976.
It is believed the 18-year-old was sexually assaulted in a home on Daintry Place.
The alleged assault was reported to police in December 2017.
Jarratt is best known for playing Mick Taylor in the Australian horror movie Wolf Creek.
He also appeared on Better Homes and Gardens and McLeod’s Daughters.
The 66-year-old was charged following inquiries on Friday.
He is due to appear before Waverley Local Court on October 10.
