According to a Victoria Police report, he then drove across the greens, causing damage to the golf course.

The 33-year-old Langwarrin man was arrested and allegedly returned a positive reading to a breathalyser test of .177 per cent.

The legal limit is 0.05.

His car was impounded at a cost of $1010 and he is expected to be interviewed in relation to drink-driving and criminal damage offences.

Mornington Golf Course boasts one of the best greens in Australia and has not specified the cost of the damage caused.
