CCTV shows knife-wielding intruder who chased, stabbed Melbourne store worker
CCTV footage captures a terrifying knife attack on a Melbourne worker at a city computer store.
The victim was opening up a HP store on Collins Street on Wednesday 1 June, about 8.40am, when he was confronted by an unknown man rummaging through a bag behind the counter.
It is believed the 35-year-old victim left the room for a short period and when he returned he found an unknown man inside the store.
The video shows the worker trying to catch the intruder, but he overcame the victim and ended up chasing him then stabbing him in the upper body.
It is believed the attacker ran east down Collins Street.

The Brighton victim was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries, while his attacker remains on the run.
Police have released the images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is described as aged in his late 20s, about 180cm tall and a tan complexion.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue 1980s style sports jacket, blue jeans, white runners and a beanie.
