Two lottery winners may not know they're $5m richer

Two mystery lotto winners might still be in the dark about their overnight victory, which earned them a whopping $5 million each.

One of the new multi-millionaires was a registered player from NSW and bought their ticket from Narellan Newsagency, southwest of Sydney.

Officials at The Lott have been unable to deliver the life-changing news because contact details linked to the account could be out of date.

The other entry was bought from Melton Lotto & TSG, west of Melbourne, but was not registered to an account so officials have no way of contacting them.

Both winners will pocket $5,209,329.11 after holding a division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1352, drawn on Tuesday 14.

Narellan Newsagency owner David Thomsen said the feeling of selling a division one winning ticket “never gets old”.

“Our customers will be as excited as we are and we are expecting a flurry of people checking their tickets. We’ve sold multiple division one winning entries over the past 36 years, but the feeling never gets old,” he said.

“We hope the winner can be united with their prize soon.”

Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai only recently acquired the store and was shocked to sell a division one ticket so soon.

The OzLotto win will be life-changing

“While this is only our first division one winning entry, the store itself has sold about 40 so we are definitely a lucky store. We hope there will be plenty more coming our way,” Mr Thai said.

“I’m sure this will be a life-changing turning point for our customer, so I hope they come forward soon to check their ticket.”

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney urged all players with an entry in Tuesday’s draw to check their tickets immediately.

“You may not think it’s possible you could be the division one winners we are searching for, but if you purchased an entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance,” she said.

“We’re urging all Oz Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible and if you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket to contact the Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

Ms Cooney reminded players of the importance of registering entries and keeping their contact details up to date so they could be easily contacted if they win.

In 2019, 13 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia collectively won $320 million. During this time, the biggest Oz Lotto jackpot was $80 million on 25 June 2019, which was won by two division one winning entries that took home $40 million each.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1352 on Tuesday were 34, 7, 44, 10, 21, 40 and 9. The supplementary numbers were 2 and 37.
