Heartbreaking new details emerge after toddler found dead in hot car


Police are continuing to investigate the death of a one-year-old who was found in a hot car after family members panicked when they couldn’t find him in a home in Sydney’s west.

He was found about 3.30pm on Sunday in the car outside the home on Ohagan Street in Chester Hill after he was noticed missing from inside the house.

NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene but the 22-month-old child could not be revived.

A crime scene has been established and police are continuing inquiries.

Shortly after being found in the car, the boy’s mum arrived at the home and ran down the street in distress yelling, “my baby”.

She left the boy under the care of family, 7 News understands.

It is also believed he was a twin.

Following the incident and older woman was also treated by paramedics for shock.
