TikTok star behind prank videos dies aged 24

A TikTok star who shared funny videos of him and his girlfriend with his audience has died aged 24 following a battle with testicular cancer.

Francesco LoPresti died earlier this week, after his long-term girlfriend Kaitlin Reagan pleaded for people to pray for him on TikTok.

In her last two videos posted to the platform, Kaitlin asked for her followers to pray for her boyfriend, saying it was really important to them.

Just days before Francesco died, Kaitlin was with his mother and father at the hospital, saying "things just got a little bit hard".

There, she also asked for her followers to pray, saying they needed a "miracle".

"We need him here and we need your help," Kaitlin said.

On March 17, Kaitlin said on TikTok that Francesco was in hospice care and offered some advice to her followers in the wake of his devastating turn.

"I want you to cherish life, and love your person with everything you have, because you never know what life will throw at you," she wrote on her video.

Francesco's tragic passing was announced by Kaitlin's aunt, Adriane, on Wednesday.

"He fought a courageous fight with so much love and support of many, many people," she wrote, saying he was like a nephew to her.

"Francesco’s love and life will always be remembered.

"Thank you for all my hugs and hand holds the other night. I’m happy I got to you to give me that little smile."

According to one of Kaitlin's most recent videos on TikTok, she and Francesco had been together since they were 15 years old.

Kaitlin and Francesco constantly shared videos of each other on their TikTok accounts, often playing pranks on one another.

Francesco had over 735,000 followers on the video-sharing app and on his last video, which featured Kaitlin and was shared back in February, people were expressing their condolences.

On Kaitlin's most recent video, people said they were brought to tears following the news of Francesco's passing.

"I am so heartbroken. Been crying all day," one person said on TikTok.

"It doesn't seem real. I've been watching you guys for so long. May he rest in the sweetest peace."
