Woman ‘homeless’ after driving into house

A Craigie grandmother said she is homeless after she accidentally drove into her house this afternoon.

Lynette Narkle, 57, was trying to reverse her Ford Laser out of the driveway just before 3pm when the car instead surged forward and smashed into the front of her house.

"The accelerator got stuck and the car pushed itself into the wall," she said.

"Now we've got nowhere to stay. I have been here for three years."

Ms Narkle lives in the Rossette Close home with her daughter, who was inside the home at the time, and three grandsons.

No-one was injured in the crash and emergency services attended as a precaution.

Part of the front wall and a front window are destroyed and the residents are not allowed inside the home until it is declared safe by authorities.
