Charges laid after puppy raid
Four people have been charged after a raid that discovered two puppies believed to have been stolen and traded for drugs.
Mirrabooka detectives found the dogs during a raid on a property in Alexander Heights yesterday.
A 24-year-old North Perth man has been charged with two counts each of aggravated reckless driving, aggravated failing to stop, stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly and driving a motor vehicle with false registration plates and one count each of possessing of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and unlawful possession.
He is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrate's Court on June 18.
A 21-year-old Dianella woman will be summoned to appear in court at a later date on the charge of possessing a prohibited drug.
A 38-year-old Kenwick man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on the charge of stealing a motor vehicle.
A 44-year-old Alexander Heights man has been charged with unlicensed possession of fireworks.
He is due to appear in court at a later date.
No charges have been laid in relation to the puppies, which were malnourished and had been deprived of human contact.
