Wheelchair-bound teen punched in face
A man has been charged after allegedly punching a teenager in a wheelchair.
Police allege that at 6.15pm on February 19, the 16-year-old victim was returning home from shops in Belmont when he was confronted by a man who punched him in the face.
The victim has muscular dystrophy and is confined to an electric wheelchair.
Yesterday police arrested a 33-year-old Coolongup man and charged him with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm.
He will face the Perth Magistrate's Court today.
