Teenage trio charged over crime spree

Three teenagers have been charged over a spate of armed robberies earlier this week.

Detectives searched homes in Morley, Brabham and Marangaroo yesterday as part of the investigation.

The incidents being investigated were armed robberies at a Morley video store and Mirrabooka fast food outlet on Sunday night, an attempted robbery at a Morley spa business on Tuesday morning, an attempted robbery at a Morley costume shop on Tuesday afternoon and an attempted robbery at a Nollamara business later that evening.

A 16-year-old Brabham boy has been charged with two counts of aggravated armed robbery, two counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted robbery.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court today.

Two boys aged 14 and 15 have been charged with two counts of aggravated armed robbery relating to the Sunday night incidents.

The 15-year-old is due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court today.

The 14-year-old will appear in the Perth Children’s Court on September 11.
