Royals, Falcons on collision course

Arch rivals East Perth and West Perth are on track to meet twice in five days in July after receiving favourable Foxtel Cup draws.

Both clubs will play their semifinals at Patersons Stadium after winning their first- round matches in the national knockout competition.

West Perth will host Tasmanian giant-killers Western Storm on June 24. East Perth, who beat SANFL premiers Norwood this week, will take on VFL heavyweights Williamstown on July 1.

The Foxtel Cup final will be played on July 22, five days before the Perth rivals meet for the third time this season.

And they could meet twice in the WAFL finals series as well, giving them a possible six clashes this season.

West Perth will take on the Royals in an enticing WA Day clash at Arena Joondalup on Monday.

East Perth are third with a 6-2 record, while the Falcons, who beat them in last year's grand final, have recently jumped from seventh to fourth after successive wins over Peel and Subiaco.

The likelihood of an all-WA Foxtel Cup final continues the State's success in the competition. Claremont played in the first two finals, winning in 2012, and East Fremantle got through to the final last season.
