Fighter Powdrill opts for Barcelona over NZ
Multi-talented Rob Powdrill has postponed a planned boxing match in New Zealand to take part in a Thai boxing contest in Spain.
Powdrill was set to face Sam Rapira in September.
Instead he has signed up to be part of the 'WKN Australia Top Team' in Barcelona on September 12.
Fightmag reports that Powdrill will face Francis Javier Jorge as part of "The Circle" tournament which "allows additional wrestling techniques featured in the commonly known kickboxing stand-up fighting. Neck and hip-toss, hip throws and back drop, single and double leg takedown allowed. No Thai elbow-strikes though".
