SW man lucky to escape burning car
A man has escaped injury when his car caught fire after hitting a tree near Provence, near Busselton, today.
The incident happened at around 11am this morning on Bussell Highway.
Fire fighters were at the scene and put the fire out quickly.
Busselton Volunteer Fire Brigade chief Rob Papalia said the man was lucky to be uninjured.
“The man was picking up his sunglasses at the time of the accident,” he said.
“His car unfortunately wasn’t so lucky and was completely burnt in the fire.”
