SW driver's car seized for 'hooning'

A man was allegedly detected driving at 56km/h over the speed limit in the South West last night.

A 20-year-old Collie man had the blue Ford Falcon he was driving impounded after being detected allegedly driving at 156km/h in a 100km/h speed zone on Coalfields Road in Roelands about 5pm.

Officers, who had been patrolling the area at the time, charged the man with reckless driving and impounded the car for 28 days.

The man is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on January 22.
