Selected Kambalda side in doubt due to players' work commitments

Sean Marshall was last night the only major injury concern as Boulder look to follow up last weekend's upset Goldfields Football League victory against Kambalda tomorrow.

The Tigers ended Mines Rovers' four-game winning streak last Saturday night, with coach Bradley George confirming Marshall had some lingering effects from a clash with Dion Fleay.

"Apart from him (Marshall), everyone has pulled up well, but the challenge for us is backing up that performance with some genuine consistency," he said.

"We beat them easily last time, but now we're heading out there (to Kambalda) and we all know what they're like at home, when they always seem to play taller and stronger."

Boulder prevailed in a round 2 clash with Kambalda by 53 points.

But George was mindful it was the first hit out of 2015 for the Eagles, who have improved since, including a win over defending premiers Railways in round 4.

"Kambalda have a bit of footy under their belts now, know each other a lot better and what their specific roles are," he said.

"We're both good running sides, but we have to play our own style of game and if we don't, we'll be in trouble.

"My message will be to stick to our plan - that's all I can ask, but I have no doubt it will be a much closer game."

Coming off a bye, Kambalda are desperate for a big showing on several fronts.

The Eagles were 86-point losers against Mines Rovers in round 5 and are keen to bridge a one-game gap on Boulder and Railways.

Kambalda host Brownlow Medallist Jason Akermanis as special guest, ahead of tomorrow night's sportsmen's night, and will be bolstered by the return of Matt Hill, Clint Sands, Jordan Daly and Brendan Coyle.

But coach Justin Tarasinski said star forward Todd Coran was out of the team and others were in doubt with possible work commitments.

"We could have all of them, some of them or none - we'll just have to wait and see," he said.

"I thought our first game (against Boulder) was particularly poor, when we had a lot of players who played individual games, as opposed to team structures and for the team itself.

"But we also debuted nine players and with some blokes back, I'm confident our best is good enough against this opposition."
