Time for summer romance

It seems Goldfields men are reading from the same script.

The beach at sunset, diamond rings and proposing on bended knee has proven a winning formula for two Kalgoorlie-Boulder couples.

Troy Amptemeyer and Trinette Norton, and Ian Agot and Carly Gregory, are celebrating their engagement over the holiday period.

They plan to wed in 2014.

By coincidence, both Ms Norton and Ms Gregory are employees at the Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre.

Mr Amptmeyer, a leading hand at Coolgardie, invited his girlfriend for a stroll along Perth’s Burns Beach on Christmas Eve.

KCGM mining surveyor Mr Agot proposed a stroll along Cottesloe Beach on December 20.
