'Bored' children smash windows, doors of school toilet: caretaker

“Bored” children have been blamed for a spate of seven break-ins at Beachlands Primary School in a year, the most recent occurred on Monday.

Gardener-caretaker for the school Steve Pesh said it was “frustrating” that the school had been left to foot the bill for three smashed windows and damage to two doors of a toilet block.

The culprits activated the school alarm at 1.45am, when metal slats were smashed on one of the toilet doors.

Once inside, they then smashed three windows and damaged another door.

Mr Pesh was at a loss as to why the toilet facility at the school was targetted.
