Four WA Lotto players are about to kick start the new year $1.4 million richer after sharing in a $30 million Division 1 Megadraw prize pool last night.
The State's winners shared the $30 million prize with 21 others from around the nation.
The winning tickets were sold at Lucky Blue Bird Lottery Kiosk, East Victoria Park, Leda Lottery Centre and Newsagency Nextra Riverton, The Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre & News, Kwinana.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said it was exciting to see WA share in the multi-million dollar prize.
"We're very excited to have four winners from our State. Whether they have realised they have become Division 1 Lotto winners yet, these local players will certainly be starting the New Year with a smile," Ms Compagnone said.
Last night's winners bring our State's 2012 total tally of Division 1 winners to 73. These winners have shared in over $75 million in prizes.
Lotterywest encourages all players who bought their tickets from these lottery outlets to check them as soon as possible for the winning numbers 25, 7, 35, 15, 37 and 14.
Almost 360,000 other WA players won a prize in the Megadraw's other Divisions, including 31 people set to pocket a Division Two prize worth $8,472.40.
Ms Compagnone said the winners were not the only ones to benefit from tonight’s draw; over $8 million was also raised to support the WA community.
This year, the WA Sports Association located in East Victoria Park benefited from a $130,824 Lotterywest Grant to help with equipment and activities for seniors with high needs disability, chronic illness, dementia or psycho-geriatric conditions who are members of the association.
