Bodyguard sues Rihanna
Barbadian pop star Rihanna is reportedly being sued for making defamatory comments about her former bodyguard.
The 26-year-old singer, left, has been hit with a lawsuit from Geoffrey Keating, from Dublin, amid claims she made "nauseatingly offensive" and false statements about him in an email sent to him and his wife last July.
Keating also claims that the star made the same defamatory allegations via a telephone call to his sister.
The Irish bodyguard, who worked for Rihanna on her Diamonds tour between October 2012 and July 2013, claims the comments have tarnished his reputation and damaged the future of his business.
He is also seeking damages from the singer and has requested she publish a correction of the alleged defamation.
Keating's lawyer, Gerald Kean, was granted permission this week to serve the singer with the legal papers at her home in New York.
"We're taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish courts will see justice at the end of the day," Kean told TMZ.
