NRW wins $200m Roy Hill job

NRW says it has won a $200 million contract with Samsung C&T on the Roy Hill iron ore project.

The proposed scope of works includes concrete and detailed earthworks for the processing plant, stockyard, overland conveyors and crushing areas.

The work is expected to take 12 months with a peak workforce of 660.

NRW chief executive Jules Pemberton said the contract award built on the existing relationship with both Samsung and Roy Hill through current construction of the Package Two rail formation component and the bulk earthworks at the project.

NRW shares were up 6 cents, or 5.33 per cent, to $1.185 at 8.10am.
