Man charged over police 'bowser barrage'

If you think you might have had a few too many drinks, it's probably not a good idea to pull up alongside police and give them a spray.

That's what Geraldton police allege happened yesterday, when a man spotted the officers refuelling their vehicle at a service station.

He allegedly pulled up beside them, alighted from the car and verbally abused them, using profanity and "telling police he did not like them".

The man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and a breath test allegedly gave a reading of 0.125.

He will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on April 16.
