Murder accused in psychiatric care

A man has made a brief appearance in court over the murder of two people in Girrawheen last year.

Nikol Stoeski is accused of murdering Venesa Farcich, 31, and Sasu Filkovski, 37, in May. Their bodies were found in separate Girrawheen homes, less than 100m apart.

Mr Stoeski's lawyer Seamus Rafferty told the Supreme Court his client was unwell and needed to be seen by a psychiatrist.

Mr Stoeski was remanded in custody at the Frankland Centre, the secure wing of Graylands Hospital.

He will appear in court again on September 18.
