Guns, drugs, cash seized in Malaga raid

Police have seized a handgun, an allegedly stolen motorbike, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash during a raid at a Malaga industrial unit early this morning.

East metropolitan district crime team officers carried out the search at the Cusack Road property at about 5am, where they found a revolver, about $8000 in cash and a stolen Ducati motorbike.

A small amount of cannabis was also found at the unit.

A woman in her 40s and two teenage girls aged 17 and 18, who have since been charged with various offences in relation to the seized items, were present at the time of the raid.

Detective Senior Sergeant Phil Bonner said police were continuing investigations into the stolen motorbike.
