Motorbike crashes keep rescue chopper busy

The RAC Rescue helicopter has been called to two motorbike crashes in southern WA this afternoon.

At 4.10pm the Department of Fire and Emergency Services reported that the chopper had been sent to a motorcycle crash in Sawyers Valley.

It reported that a rider had crashed into a tree on Gorrie Road, near the intersection of Great Eastern Highway, in Sawyers Valley.

Earlier, the chopper was sent to a motorcycle crash on Nanga Road, near the intersection of Nanga Brook Road, in Dwellingup.

The helicopter was expected to land at Royal Perth Hospital with a male patient around 2.25pm.

No details are known about the conditions of the patients or the nature of their injuries.
