Teen girls face armed robbery charges

A store employee was cut after attempting to stop two teenagers from leaving a department store yesterday.

Staff stopped the two 14-year-old girls at the department store in a Carey Park shopping centre on Bussell Highway about 3pm.

Police allege one of the girls produced a knife and threatened staff.

An employee’s hand was cut in the incident.

Two girls from Carey Park have been charged with armed robbery and are due to appear in Bunbury Children’s Court on August 8.
