Now solo, Day has a ball

Perth couple Malcolm Day and Tracey Jewel have split, almost a year after launching a venture to try to help couples reignite their passion.

Day, managing director of adultshop.com, and Jewel developed the program after their former long-term relationships failed because of a lack of intimacy.

"Like many couples the passion was lost somewhere along the way and, unfortunately, in both our cases, couldn't be re-found," Jewel said in July last year when launching their online program, which included video tips and tricks, homework "play sheets" and online live chats with "sexperts" and Dr John Gray, author of the groundbreaking book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.

The couple began dating four months after Day's high-profile split from his former wife, publican and former Penthouse Pet Bree Maddox in March, 2012.

Jewel wasn't new to being in the spotlight, having been a guest on TV superstar Oprah Winfrey's popular daytime talk show in 2011 to promote her holistic self-help book Goddess Within.

"Tracey and I broke up six weeks ago. Life goes on," Mr Day told AAA yesterday.

Day stepped out solo at his annual Boobalicious Ball in the Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth on Saturday night, adultshop.com's black-tie fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care WA, which is one of Perth's top social events.

He was spotted mingling with a number of strippers and models who took to the catwalk in Leg Avenue lingerie, and dancing particularly closely with model Sophie Kerrigan.

"I'm not going to sit around on the couch," he said of his new single status.
