Gale welcomes son
Two days shy of Mother's Day, Megan Gale has given birth to a baby boy.
The Perth-raised model welcomed her first child with AFL player Shaun Hampson yesterday and announced the happy news today via Instagram.
A black and white snap shows the tot's hand wrapped around her fingers.
"Our precious little 3.87kg (8.5 pound) man came into the world yesterday on the 13th of May 2014 at 4.47pm," Gale, 38, captioned the image.
"Needless to say, Shaun and I are completely smitten with him and we're beyond blessed to have such a healthy baby.
"Words can't even come close to describing how we're feeling right now and more so, how it felt to hear, hold and meet this beautiful soul for the first time.
"We love you little man and are SO thrilled to be your parents."
Later in the day Gale posted a picture of the baby on Instagram.
The photograph was captioned with the baby's name and its origin.
"We finally chose a name for our little man - River Alan Thomas Hampson.
"Rivers is my Mums (sic) maiden name, Alan after my Dad, Thomas for Shaun's Dad and the last name just like Daddy's."
