Barlow closer to Freo return

Michael Barlow moved freely at Fremantle training this morning raising hopes that the key midfielder will return from injury in Sunday’s western derby.

Barlow has been listed as a test after missing the past four games with a left knee injury, but ran and kicked the ball without any problems at Fremantle Oval this morning.

Nat Fyfe was not on the track, while Anthony Morabito did not appear, fresh from beating a two-match ban at the WAFL tribunal last night.

Matt de Boer, who was subbed out of the Dockers’ loss to North Melbourne last Friday night, appeared briefly, having a long discussion with coach Ross Lyon before leaving the track.

Tom Sheridan was an absentee, while fellow youngster Hayden Crozier did light work away from the main group.

Zac Dawson jogged laps alongside Jack Hannath before finishing up early.

Troubled youngster Josh Simpson was smiling after being welcomed back into the fold, training strongly alongside his teammates.

Fremantle will hold their main session on Friday ahead of the crucial clash with West Coast.
