WA women's work is never done

More than half of WA women say they are working from 5am to 9pm every day, according to a new survey.

The Newspoll research also revealed more WA women (56 per cent) work that 16-hour day than women in other States (47 per cent).

It found that after women combined the hours in their day job, household chores and child care, they had time to fit in only three 15-minute breaks on average.

The online survey, commissioned for Nescafe Café Menu, questioned 1000 women aged 25 to 44 nationwide.

Almost half of WA women (49 per cent) said they had told a white lie so they could take a break from work.

One in five admitted they hid from their boss so they could have a break.

The most popular hiding place was the toilet, followed by the kitchen.

Eight out of 10 mothers said they bribed their children to get them to behave.
